About Epoxy Resin Insulated Dual Core Current Transformer

The PowerTrac Rectangular Resin Cast HT Current Transformer (Dual Core) is an epoxy resin cast current transformer designed for reliable current measurement and electrical protection in high-voltage power systems. Its resin-cast construction provides strong electrical insulation, mechanical strength, and dependable performance in demanding electrical applications.

The dual-core configuration allows the current transformer to serve both metering and protection requirements. One core can be used for energy measurement, while the second core can be used for protection relays, depending on the specified CT configuration.

Designed for HT applications, the transformer is suitable for use in switchgear, substations, industrial power distribution systems, control panels, and utility networks where accurate current measurement and dependable protection are required.

PowerTrac HT Current Transformers are available with different current ratios, accuracy classes, burdens, and protection-class options according to application requirements. The HT range includes metering accuracy classes such as 0.5S, 1.0 and 2.0, as well as protection classes such as 5P10 and 5P20. The product is designed in accordance with IS:2705 requirements.
